Thank you for your interest in this year’s Ban Bullying at Work Day, a campaign to Speak Out against bullying within the workplace. With at least 1 in 4 people currently experiencing bullying at work and an annual cost to the UK economy of 6 billion pounds, it’s an issue no organisation can afford to ignore or condone through inaction.

There are lots of different ways you can help raise awareness and understanding within your organisation.

When tackled holistically it is very difficult for bullying at work to remain unchallenged. Break the silence, talk about bullying using a whole organisational approach.

Suggestions for in-house activities to create action on the day:-

Publicise the day using Posters/leaflets/bulletins

Provide Website/intranet information on your own workplace bullying policy and procedures

Instruct your Managers to hold staff team meetings/feedback sessions

Provide drop in information points/presentations run by groups from HR/First Point Contact or Harassment Advisers/Union Representatives to publicise and promote their services and the positive stance your organisation takes to deal with the issue

Provide awareness training sessions for all staff

Run an internal audit following the day’s event – use our questionnaire

Purchase some of our promotional materials. Use these to raise awareness within your organisation. Why not go a step further and co-brand on our corporate poster and/or data sticks

If your organisation actively supports the campaign, then upload your logo to our ‘Supporters Page’ and provide a link from your website to ours. For details on other supporters’ please click here. To upload your logo, contact jo@banbullyingatwork.com

Why not communicate your involvement in the campaign and commitment to tackling this important issue by talking to your local press
